Our Cabernet Franc Lite, as the flavors tend to be a more supple version of our regular Cabernet Franc. Dry yet fruity.
88 Points - Food & Beverage World
We consider this our Cabernet Franc Lite, as the flavors tend to be a more subtle version of our regular Cabernet Franc. The color of a wine comes from the skins, so after 30 hours of fermentation we removed the skins to produce a wine with a very pretty, bright, ruby red color and with lighter Cab Franc flavors.
17th consecutive vintage of our favorite varietal. Lovely fresh fruit flavors with a hint of chocolate in the lovely long finish.
We see lots of Malbec on the shelves – mostly from Argentina, where they have 50,880 acres planted. However, Bordeaux is where it originated. There are only 1,346 bearing Malbec acres out of a total of 448,957 acres of vineyard in California. This is our 17th consecutive vintage of our favorite grape varietal

Invented in Yorkville - Like "adult grape juice." Less than half the residual sugar of a typical late harvest.
We were originally inspired to make a Sweet Malbec when we tasted the fresh juice while taking sugar samples. We thought it would make a terrific wine if kept a bit sweet (less than half of the residual sugar of a typical late harvest wine). The idea was a wine to go with a biscotti or macaroons at 4 in the afternoon. Serve chilled.
In Boontling lingo “Hi-Rollrs” described folks from Yorkville; our "everyday go-to wine," which is a blend of seven varietals.
Silver Medal, Orange County Wine Competition
In Boontling, “Hi-Rollrs” described the folks from Yorkville. Boontling was a lingo which evolved early in the 20th century. Hi-Rollr Red is our “other” blend. Unlike our Richard the Lion-Heart, which is a special occasion wine, we are pleased to present to you a medium-bodied, "everyday go-to wine" with an intriquing blend of seven varietals.
Refreshing cranberry lift flavor typical of Petit Verdot making this a very food-friendly bubbly. Check back this spring for a new bubbly.

Careful blend of our very best barrels of each of the six Noble Red varietals originally from Bordeaux. New vintage this summer.
Double Gold Medal, New World Internaional Wine Competition; Gold Medal, Orange County Wine Competition
Carefully blended choosing our best barrels of each varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. This is very likely the only California wine blend made with all of the six traditional Noble Red varietals of Bordeaux. Wine critics typically compare it favorably to wines at twice the price.
This rare wine; the "lost" Noble Red Grape during the 1855 Bordeaux winery classification, rediscovered in Chile. New vintage this summer.
Distinguished as one of the six Noble Red grapes of Bordeaux, it played a major role in the wines of the 1855 classifcation that built Bordeaux's reputation. You've seen Carmenere in the Chilean section in your wine store as Chile now has 98% of the world's plantings. An extremely rare grape (55 acres) in California, so low odds of finding another Carmenere wine produced here.
A delicious "other" Cabernet, very versatile, pairs easily with a wide range of foods including white meats. New vintage this summer.
Gold Medal - New World Int'l
A grape that is getting noticed a bit more these days - this is a delicious example of that "other" Cabernet, which is actually a much older grape variety than Cabernet Sauvignon. Berries and spice and all things nice..., dusty aromas of pomegranate skins..., smooth and velvety with flavors of tangy cherry pie.
Fruity and rich; fills your mouth with its fleshy texture andbathes the tongue with pleasing flavors. New vintage this spring.
Gold Medal - S.F. Chronicle
Nice balance between rich cherry and a bright berry fruits. Light chocolate aroma with a hint of banana. Fruity and rich it fills your mouth with its fleshy texture and its plump, fruity flavors that bathe the tongue in wave after wave of pleasing flavors. Finishes with wonderful structure and a lingering impression. A fitting food partner.
Delicate floral aromas give way to dark fruit flavors finishing with cranberry. A great match with game dishes. New vintage this summer.
There continues to be very few Petit Verdot wines produced in California. Delicate floral aromas give way to dark fruit flavors finishing with a cranberry lift. A great match with game dishes; for example: duck breast, rabbit pate or venison.
