Our Richard the Lion-Heart is a rich blend of all six of the Noble Red Bordeaux varietals each of which is grown and carefully nurtured in our Rennie Organic Vineyard in Yorkville.
For this regal wine we select our favorite barrels of each varietal wine and carefully create a harmonious and hedonistic blend. This luscious wine benefits from 21 months in 100% French oak barrels. Our 2017 Blend is comprised of: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot, 4% Carmenere, 3% Malbec and 3% Cabernet Franc.
Our Richard the Lion-Heart has been winning awards and recognition since we first released it back in 1995. And after all these years of careful creation it’s become clear to us that this Noble Red blend is special because it gains immense complexity by the inclusion of all six of these grape varietals working synergistically.
