2007 Sauvignon Blanc - June Monthly Special

See our complete wine selection

2006 Sauvignon BlancOur 15th vintage made from our steep, gravelly vineyard that we call “Randle Hill.” Randle is Deborah’s maiden name. This vineyard has consistently produced one of the best S.B.’s in the North Coast and we’re very proud of it. Aromas of lime, vanilla, and a note of honey-suckle. Rich fruit flavors of tangerine and green melon.
Bright finish with grapefruit, minerals and a touch of herbs.

Try it with the Fish Tacos with Tequila Lime Aioli suggested by American Winery blog [click here for story & recipe]

Winemaker's notes

Harvested on September 24th, the fruit arrived at the winery with a perfect balance of sugars and crisp acidity. As with all of our white wines, the grapes were crushed directly to the press, and cold settled for 24 hours before being transferred to 100% French oak cooperage for fermentation and sur-lie ageing. Malolactic fermentation was stopped at about 20%, and the wine was bottled after six months of ageing. This vibrant white is best consumed young, by the end of 2010.
