2006 Sauvignon BlancOur 14th vintage out of the steep, gravelly vineyard that we call “Randle Hill.” Randle is Deborah’s maiden name. This vineyard has consistently produced one of the best S.B.’s around and we’re very proud of it. Great aromas of lemon drop or sweet lime with a hint of floral and tropical. We find flavors of kiwi, tangerine, and granny smith apples. Our typical Yorkville long finish with lime zest and minerals.

Winemaker's notes

Harvested in two lots near the end of September, the fruit arrived at the winery with a perfect balance of sugars and crisp acidity. As with all of our white wines, the grapes were crushed directly to the press, and cold settled for 24 hours before being transferred to French oak cooperage for fermentation and ageing. Malolactic fermentation was stopped at about 20%, and the wine was bottled after six months of sur-lie ageing. This vibrant white is best consumed young, by the end of 2008.

fresh goat's milk cheeses.
