2006 Richard the Lion-Heart
Richard remains the only known wine to include all six of the original noble red grapes of the Bordeaux area. We spend many days carefully putting the blend together. It is intense with layered aromatics: raspberry, spice, sweet oak and herbs. Incredible rich fruit flavor of dark berries, lovely balance and power with smooth, lingering tannins for a long finish. Such a fantastic wine should be accepted as legal tender in the civilized world; or it is at least fit for a king.
After many long hours of blending trials we decided to make our 2006 vintage a blend of: 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 25% Malbec, 10% Carmenere, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc.
Due to individual state regulations we can only ship to the following 30 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming and to the District of Columbia. We can also ship internationally, however it's pretty expensive.
